The strategy looks fantastic, and the sector rotation system behind it is fundamentally confirmed. But no matter how I look at it, the performance shown in the table over the 6-month period was not achieved using the ETFs listed at the beginning of the month. I also can’t find the same performance for the MSCI World Index at the beginning of the month. Are you using different figures? Are your figures in EUR (XETRA) or USD? I’m using the figures from Investing.com. I’d rather not pay for a service where the numbers are incorrect. I'd like to understand. Thanks!
Hi there! I appreciate your comment on the strategy 😊
My guess is you’re looking at USD figures and maybe US-based ETF returns? All numbers I present are in EUR and based on the raw index returns.
I use the indices because I have a global audience and the strategy can be implemented with a variety of different ETFs listed in different currencies. This will naturally give fluctuations in the numbers, but in the long run it will even out.
You can double check my numbers for MSCI World (EUR) on http://MSCI.com
Let me know if you have any further questions! And thumbs up for actually checking up on the data yourself 👍
